I am so glad my SR had me look at my cabinet choice again. The cabinets are in...I think I originally chose maple spice (the standard) but then changed to espresso. They look so good. Can't wait to see everything together (cabinets, granite, wood floor). Some of the drawers and doors weren't completely flush when they shut, so that's something that I'll have to bring up to my PM. My bathroom cabinets are standard maple spice...but even they look nice. Not sure how many of you visit Pinterest. But since I downloaded the app on my phone, I'm a bit of a junkie. Anyway, on pinterest I've found quite a few DIY projects that I can do one in particular is changing the color of those standard cabinets to match the kitchen cabinets.
Brick was done as well...it's so pretty.
And...I was --> ___ <-- close to diving in the dumpster to see if I could find anything that might be useful down the road. But nothing. They had the door knobs in my garage...I wished the box was open so I could maybe fiiiiiiind and extra set up keys to use once they lock everything.

My microwave is vented outside, wasn't sure how that whole set up was going to look but it's ok. |

Playing around with the panoramic feature on my new phone...this is the best I could do :) |
Courtney Brown,
ReplyDeleteI'd be more than Happy to share with you.
1) Garage entrance - Once they put the door on and it's hooked up to the electric, RH uses the same code garage code for all the contractors
The code 9/10 times is 1234. just hit Enter then 1234 and Enter again.
2) Front Door Entrance - OK, This requires the use of a credit card or store card you don't use that often.
Once they put your door on, the don't use the door hardware that you will have, rather just a basic lock.
Take a look at this Wiki How- http://www.wikihow.com/Open-a-Door-with-a-Credit-Card
Pretty much just shimmy the card into the area just to the right of the lock.
Hope this Helps
Thanks for sharing!!
DeleteLOVE the kitchen cabinets!!! We chose the espresso cabinets too and I cannot wait to see them installed!
ReplyDeleteWhen we were exiting our garage the other day we spotted two keys hanging beside the right side of the garage door. I was really curious about whether or not those were the keys for the temporary lock on the front door, but I left them hanging instead of snatching one of them. Our house has been locked up since they started the electrical, HVAC and plumbing work, but the SR hands the key over whenever we want it.
Can't wait to see a pic of your installed cabinets, M. When you see them, you're going to be even more excited! I was on the phone with my phone and I walked in and squealed, lol.
DeleteYou have much more self control that I have...if I'd seen some keys today, I think I would've snatched one, gone to Walmart to make a copy and then taken it back, lol. Good thing I didn't see that.
Courtney this looks beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI also choose those cabinets.....sometimes I wonder if they are too dark, so I glad you really love yours....I will have cherry floors and santa cecelia granite.....I hope its NOT too dark..
ReplyDeleteAny thoughts ??
Thanks, Nadase!
ReplyDelete@dw - I also chose santa cecilia granite...and I'm not quite sure what color my floors are...but I don't think it will be too dark. I think the granite will lighten things up keep. I was worried about the cabinets myself...but after seeing them all the worries are gone. What color appliances are you going to have?
We got the free upgrade to stainless with our July Incentive package....so i guess that will lighten it up also. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the espresso cabinets in your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tech Mama.
ReplyDelete@dw - Yep...I'd say the stainless would lighten things up as well. I also got that upgrade and love the idea of the dark cabinets along with stainless appliances and granite.
Just a note: the Espresso and St. Cecilia look hoTT together!! My gourmet island is espresso with the same granite. Just gorgeous!!
