Finally....

.... I haven't been framed yet, but finally, a call from my PM.  I wasn't able to take his call but per his voicemail, all the wood is there for my building, concrete will be poured tomorrow, and framing will start next Wednesday.  Yay!

Stopped by the site after work and the wood for my building was there!!!  I'm assuming next week is when framing will start.

I stopped by the community today after work.  Saw wood and I got excited, until I realized it was for the building behind mine.  Oh well, hopefully next week I'll stop by and my wood will be there.

Day 4...

Stopped by this morning after church service and found this....stood there for a minute and thought...gee it looks so small, but I know once the building gets further along it won't seem small at all.

Pre-construction!!!

Preconstruction meeting went pretty well yesterday.  It took all of 30 min to review everything and then my PM (yay! I get to use that term now :)) walked to me my lot and showed me that digging has started.  I can't remember whose blog I read that said record the meeting because there's no way to remember everything that was said.  Tried that with my cellphone voice recorder...it stopped after 5 min (darn Samsung Galaxy S).  PM stated settlment could be late December or sometime in January.  That part really is not the best news...my apt lease ends Nov 29, I've already given notice and told them that I'm going month to month but I hate the fact that there's an upcharge by the apt complex because I have to do that.  I will email RH to see if they would be willing to assist with that fee, I was very clear back in May that I wanted to move in November.  Issues beyond my control (with the community/developer and HOA and probably some other stuff that I don't know about) have caused the date to be pushed back.  But, I won't complain.

And so it begins...

My pre-construction meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, Oct 9 and groundbreaking is supposed to be the next day, Wednesday, Oct 10.

Yay!! I must admit that I am so nervous. During the planning and up to this point I haven't been that nervous, but now there's no turning back...*biting my nails*
